Little Steps. Big Progress.
About LitSteps
Parents are a child's first teacher. The conversations you have, the books you read, the songs you sing, and the time you spend together all help prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. At LitSteps, we believe those little moments and little steps build confident readers, stronger family connections, and a lifelong love of learning.

How LitSteps Grew
Hi, I'm Helen Deasy, educator, illustrator, and creator of LitSteps and the Piglits.
After nearly 20 years teaching children ages 4 to 7, I created LitSteps to bring the same joyful, research-based literacy practices from my classroom into families' everyday lives.
